Mrs. Johnnie Tomkins, a communion steward, contributes beautiful glass vases. Two vases of fresh flowers, are placed on the altar each Sunday. They are later given to the sick and shut in. Mrs Tomkins has given vases for several years now for the joy it gives to others.
Sometimes she says, "I'm not going to bring them anymore ... It's time for others to give. But, here she comes with dozens more vases as our pantry runs low! She enjoys and loves the church work and the deeds she does.
The blessing she recieves is knowing others are recieveing a Godly gift of LOVE. She's provided the priviledge of giving the vases, but the "church" provides the flowers.
