A friendly, older Eucharistic Minister at our church became extremely ill and her family recently put her into a local home for elderly. She is still brought to our Mass by her son, but of course cannot serve with us at the altar.
One of our other, younger Eucharistic ministers felt badly, as some of us do, and took Maureen Buscenni a hand-crocheted blanket and sat beside her at church, and visits her at the home. Her name is Kelly Schotmeyer. She is my wish for steward of the month. She also asked one of our priests, Fr. Dominik, to visit Maureen at the home.
