A Call to Holiness

Jason is a guy I know from church. He found the church at a strange time in his life, he was 17 years old. I'll never forget, he and I were on an Emmaus retreat. He was so funny, always ready to crack a joke at all the wrong times. Like so many of us will do from time to time, Jason was questioning his faith. Well, after the retreat, there wasn't a stronger believer than him. The following retreat, he was asked to give the "A Call To Holiness" talk, I've never been so inspired by anyone's words before. Anyway ... he and I got to know one another very well over the next few years. He was early to every bible study, always made the coffee, and always stayed late, sometimes he would even bring cookies. He had some brilliant ideas to bring the youth back to the church. He tried one time to stage a performance of God-Spell, I have to say ... although he considered it a failure, I thought it truly rocked. It's funny, we had a record number of new people on the retreat following his rendition of "prepare ye that way of the Lord". I think Jason should be your Steward of the Month because he never feels like he has given enough back to God for giving him his faith back. He gives in silence ... he gives in love ... and he is one of those people who the light of Christ REALLY shines through on to everyone he meets.
