Susan is Father's hair dresser. She goes to the rectory twice a month and offers free hair cuts for the elderly parishioners that cannot afford to go to her salon. She is a very nice young lady that is dedicated to our parish family. She runs the CCD class for fifth graders, sings with the church choir, and bakes her famous lemon bars for every bake sale. When I had hip-replacement surgery last year, she did all of my shopping for me, and drove me to rehab each week.
Her husband cuts my lawn every Sunday still. Susan sits with me each week while Hank mows, she is always "family-hopping." She and her husband go on a once a week visit to all the home-bound families in our parish. They drive my sister and me to mass each week.
I would like to suggest that Hank and Susan be named Stewards of the Month.
