Tom is a guy from our parish. He is a carpenter, a tile guy, a mason, and he can fix about anything that goes wrong in this old building. He comes to service every morning at 7AM, and sticks around after to see if Pastor needs anything. He is a stand-up guy, always giving of himself. Last summer at the men's bible study Tom publicly shared his life with us, and eventually we talked him into testifying at services. That man's story is amazing. He was married to a woman named Mary, and she was killed in an accident only one year into there life together. Tom has since stayed single and considers himself committed to her to this day. He feels like she would need caring for, just like our church. He loves this building as he loves his home, and loves us, he church-family as he still loves her. She must have been a woman that was close to perfect, that gave him a love close to that of The Father. His story seemed to be a sad one but when you ad it all up, God gave his love to Tom threw Mary, and he in return gives his love back to God's church. What a steward he is!
