Caring for Someone Less Fortunate.
Submitted by: Curtiss Scottville MI
In the 1960"s we had a pastor by the name of Rev. Herman Voege. He and his wife Linda & family lived modestly in our church parsonage. They were very good stewards and very mission minded and supported a child in a foreign orphanage. This child needed an operation so they sent all they could to help. Mrs. Voege told us later that they sent all they had and didn't have enough left for groceries. Our little town of Scottville had a weekly drawing of $50.00 and Linda won it that week. Needless to say that was a lot of money at that time and it bought the groceries that were needed. God truly loves a cheerful giver.
